New qualification for refugee acamedics
Watch this: The new project "Aim - Fled MINT female academics into the labour market" starts on October 1, 2020 at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern!
This is an offer of the Institute for Development through Qualification (EQUAL) at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern. The project is especially aimed at refugee and immigrant women. The aim of the project is to give women who are caring for the family the opportunity to take part in qualifications. For this reason, the project "Aim - Fugitive MINT female academics into the labour market" was designed: Qualify part-time with online teaching and mentoring. The qualification takes 9 months.
Target group
The project is suitable for immigrant female academics who live in Germany and have obtained a MINT university degree abroad (MINT = Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology). A good knowledge of German is also required.

Objective
With the help of the qualification the aim is to enable the participants to enter the German labour market in the best possible way. To this end, technical-linguistic intercultural skills are passed on. Furthermore, the know-how regarding the job market is expanded. In addition, an individual professional further qualification is planned. All this is rounded off by mentors who accompany the women during the qualification process. This gives the participants the chance to get a taste of the company.
