Integration pilots of Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V.

Malteser International in the diocese of Speyer is active at several locations in supporting refugees. With the project "Integrationslotsen" Malteser International offers a voluntary service throughout Germany to provide comprehensive support for asylum seekers, recognised refugees and immigrants - as in Ludwigshafen. Interested volunteers are trained by Malteser International and supported in their work by full-time volunteer coordinators.

As an integration guide, for example, together wit other colunteer integration guides, you offer an afternoon event for children of a primary school. They play with the children, supporting them playfully in learning and improving the German language and giving them support, courage, confidence and encouragement for their integration life in Germany.

With professional support you can also realize your own ideas for integrative offers or participate in existing initiatives. These can be both closed and open group offers or one-off actions.

As an integration guide you should be at least 18 years old and you should also enjoy working with people, be patient and tolerant, open to other cultures and behaviours, have team spirit and respect.

Malteser International offers support by full-time professionals, training and further education, exchange of experience, supervision and extensive insurance cover during your engagement.

Contact person for volunteer work is the coordinator of the integration pilots Julia Mol.
